Interview with the author of the Blaze Dog Detective series.

Wooftastic Books welcomes author Lin Anderson

What inspired you to write ‘The Blaze Dog Detective’

Having been inspired by Blaze to write Time for the Dead BK 14 in the forensic thriller series starring Dr Rhona MacLeod whose family comes from Skye. Blaze becomes her forensic assistant on  the case.

My granddaughter had been asking me to write a children’s book for some time. She had met Blaze and wee brother Laoch, and loved being with them, so I came up with the idea of  Blaze being the detective and Laoch his sidekick with much to learn. My granddaughter was the inspiration for Rosa, and Rory, a local lad completed the team.

Give us a brief description of your book

When the famous flag of the Clan MacLeod disappears from a locked room at Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye, the police immediately call in Blaze Dog Detective. After all, his scenting skills are legendary. With his team of Rosa, Rory and wee brother Laoch, Blaze leads the chase to rescue this magical flag before it can be spirited away from the island forever.
