About the Author

Eileen Pieczonka didn’t realize how her rescue dog, Jamie, would enrich her life. They became a registered therapy team and found their niche with Paws 2 Read, helping children enhance their reading skills in the Phoenix valley libraries. Seeing Jamie make a difference in a young child’s outlook on reading inspired Eileen to write her own picture book and dedicate it to her beloved Jamie and Jamie’s library fans.

Eileen was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, and now resides in Chandler, Arizona with the love of her life, Dennis, Blueberry Bear (Jamie) and the rest of her rescue menagerie.
