Hello. I am Donna Maguire. After close to 40 years in advertising and marketing I am pursuing a new passion, children’s book writing. This blends well with my muse – a cute, oafish and always entertaining Basset Hound. His name is Winston. My pet name for him is Silly Willy Winston because he trips over his ears and paws all the time. He is fun to take for walks because his super snout always finds a new path. His loving personality leads to new friendships everywhere we go. Silly Willy Winston is an ordinary pet with extraordinary adventures. He is a Basset Hound with the biggest ears ever and a super large snout. Often he trips over his ears and is a bit of a clown. He is short and stout but in tip top shape. While a lot of people think tall and thin is in he is happy just the way he is. That is because his unusual traits give him special abilities. With these abilities he takes on a number of different secret identities. When Super Snout he helps friends face new experiences. As Inspector Snout he helps them find things whether it is a missing toy or tadpole. As Explorer Snout he helps his pals learn about different places near and far. Pirate Snout brings his friends on adventures on the seas. All of his secret identities help his friends learn about new and unusual places, creatures, the environment and themselves.
